The Hong Kong Institute of Education, referred to as the Institute of Education (HKIEd), is currently the only teacher training college among the eight universities in Hong Kong. It is based on the 65-year inheritance of five former teacher education colleges, and is the only one among the eight higher education institutions funded by the University Education Grants Committee that focuses on teacher training and professional development. The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong) is a non-profit private university that inherits the tradition of running the Hang Seng Business Academy (Hengshang).

The history of Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (Hang Seng University) can be traced back to 1980. The Ho Sin Hang Charitable Foundation, Ho Tim Charitable Foundation, Dah Chong Trading Co., founders of Hang Seng Bank and Hang Seng Bank generously donated to establish Hang Seng Business College (Hengshang) . Macau Polytechnic University (Universidade Politécnica de Macau / Macau Polytechnic University), referred to as "MPU", is a public multidisciplinary application-oriented university located in Macau, China. Member of the Bay Area Portuguese Language Education Alliance.

Macau Polytechnic University was formerly known as Dong-A University Polytechnic Institute established in 1981; it was changed to Macau Polytechnic Institute in 1991; it was renamed Macau Polytechnic University in 2022.

HONG KONG Chu Hai College, referred to as "HKCHC", is a recognized post-secondary college in Hong Kong, China, with qualifications for awarding bachelor's degrees and above. Chu Hai College was first established as a "private Zhuhai University" in Guangzhou. Founded in 1947, the original school site is located at Erma Road, Zhusigang, Dongshan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, with a long history. Because of the same name as Zhuhai City, it is easy for the outside world to misunderstand that Zhuhai University has something to do with Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. The college was founded in 1947 and named Zhuhai in the hope that students would be as bright as a "pearl" and as rich as a "sea". Compared with Zhuhai, which was established in 1979, it was named "Zhuhai" earlier. In order to eliminate misunderstandings, it was renamed "Hong Kong Chu Hai College" in December 2022.
